Mentobe's would like to welcome into our home: Snowwitch Mentobe Nkosi, a very handsome young Seal point boy & Advilo Mentobe Saffina, a beautiful Blue point Girl. | 28/6/06 What a Year! Hi all, well were do I start? Rio went to stud in January and unfortunately she gave birth to 2 still born big boys on 24 March, we are now just waiting for her to call again and she will go back to stud. Naughty (Sunrise) has been to stud 3 times and you guessed it no kittens, she really is living up to her name. She has also stopped calling now, so when she does we will then decide if she will go to stud or we will have her done and then we will be back down to 1 breeding queen. Our sincere apologies to everyone who has been very patient waiting for kittens off us and as you already know Susie will put you in touch with other breeders for a kitten. So from a breeding point so far this year it was not Mentobe! Other sad news for the Mentobe household was the death of Gizmo our oldest cat he passed away in Susie's arms on his birthday 15th May 2006 and will be greatly missed. Felix has developed a lump on this front leg and after much deliberation with our vet we have made the decision to have his leg amputated. So if any of you out there have any tips for looking after a 3 legged cat please e-mail us. Sorry for the delay in updates, but as you can now see it's been a tuff old year |

| 10/12/05 Rio's Still got it! North Of Britain Show We are so proud of Rio, her first show since March & she came 1st in her open, won Best Of Breed & was nominated for Best in Show, and it was right down to the wire in her class. a very good day at the office , we are so pleased. |

| 30/07/05 Show News We have decided to make Rio Semi retired from the show bench to have kittens. She may do the odd show here and there, just to keep her paw in. We have had a great time showing her & have made some good friends. We now need to make way for a Mentobe show kitten (fingers crossed on the next litters) |

| 10/3/07 Rio has Kittens At 3.30am Sat, Rio decided it was time to have kittens. She gave birth to her first of 3 @ 5.40am. Mom and babies are doing fine. Don't know about Susie & i though we need sleep! See kitten page for pics and updates. |

| 21/4/07 Nkosi gets his first PC! Kosi won his first PC in his first adult class @ the Semi Long Hair in Stratford on Avon. It was a wonderful show day, the weather was great & so was the company. Congrats also go to Polapawz Just Seb who won his first PC too. A great day for all we are so proud! xx |

| 22/1/08 Rio & Sunrise Have been to Stud! Rio & Sunrise(Ness) Have both been to Gr Ch Namrib Ghost. A repeat mating for Ness & 1st time for Rio. Should be a good mating from both & Blues & Lilacs are expected! Rio's kittens will be due the end of Feb & Ness 3rd week in March. Saffi will be going to stud aprox June/July if she is the same as last year & she will be going to a Seal or Seal/Choc tabby t.b.a. Watch this space or email us for kitten details! |

| 31/3/08 Sad Day! Laurant Apollo (Simba)25/7/95 to 31/3/08 was laid to rest, He battled with kidney failure for just over a week, but could not fight any more. Susie and I said our goodbyes last night at the vets. Simba was our very first Birman 12 yrs ago, he will be greatly missed, another big paw print left on our hearts. Rest Well Simba & send our love to all the others of our family who have passed. Love you always xxxx |
