Arthur
August 1991 - 2nd September 2005
Arthur was rescued in August 1991, he had
been left in a garage with his brother Jessie
with no food or water. Fortunately for them
both Susie heard them meowing, got into the
garage and took them home. Arthur was full
of fleas and had a very bad virus, he could
hardly see as his eyes were bunged up and
he was full of congestion. Susie took them
both up to our vets for a full check up. Jessie
was fine, he just needed to be de-flea'd , fed,
watered and given lots of love. Arthur had it
ruff , he needed  a coarse of antibiotics, eye
drops, nose drops, plus de-flea'd. What a
state the poor boy was in . After many trips
up the vets Arthur became a wonderful young
boy, his coat gleamed with health, however
the virus he had , had left him with permanent
damage to his sinuses. Nearly all his life he
has had to have various trips to the vets  for
drops & tablets, but to Arthur this was all
normal to him, he knew no different, after all
he had been like it since he was a kitten.

Arthur was a very affectionate cat & highly
intelligent, in fact probably the most intelligent
cat we have every had. All our friends loved
Arthur, they even affectionately nick named
him, Darth Arth, Snotty & even Ugly, ah! Our
poor boy!

3years ago Arthur  was diagnosed as
Diabetic, hell if he hadn't been through
enough? Still we battled through it, and not
one to be left out Felix had to be diabetic as
well ! Felix to this day is still Diabetic, but
under control however Arthur the fighter that
he was managed to completely get over
diabetes. In the end  all his troubles of 14 long
years, his kidneys let him down & on Friday
2nd September 2005 Susie & I had to make
the painful decision to put an end to his
suffering. Arthur went to sleep in Susie's arms
purring as he went, being told by both of us
how much he was loved and will be missed.

"Breathe pure for the first time in your life
Arthur, run and play with Mr D, Elsa, Trina &
Gemma. Till we meet again may Buddha
protect you and guide you in your re-birth"
Love you always
